RELIGION VS. CYNICISM

Don’t let faith turn into hate.  Freedom and democracy is what made America a great country.

It’s now become a hot topic on whether or not it’s right to build a Mosque near Ground Zero while the controversy continues over respect for the loss of loved ones, the victims and heroes.

People shout and have their doubts, but what it is really all about?  Some American Muslims might be terrorists.  This is true, but it’s the radicals that have been brought to justice.  America is a country of Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and many other religions.  Let’s not make the wrong decision.

While there is good and bad in every society we the people must not view one’s religion with cynicism or skepticism.

Every American has constitutional rights, but the doctrine does not cover using your might and getting into a fist fight. The basis of our American Constitution dictates freedom of speech, religion and civil rights.

So what do we know about Sharia or Islamic Law and what does it stand for?  Totalitarianism a political system which contradicts the foundation of our laws, American Constitution and the vision of our Founding Fathers.

Pastor Jones’ Quran Holy Book Burning

Citizens anger over the construction of an Islamic Mosque in close proximity to rebuilding the World Trade Center just down the block.  Gainesville, Florida Pastor Terry Jones threatens to burn 200 copies of the Quran holy books on 9/11.  UK Interior Minister is considering barring the pastor from entering the country.

President Obama speaks out on book-burning and how radical violence could occur in Afghanistan and Pakistan.  New York Imam says Muslims behind the Mosque project have nothing to do with the 9/11 attack.

Donald Trump has intervened on the Mosque controversy offering a cash deal plus 25% to the developer if the center moves at least 5 blocks away from the WTC site.

Several generations ago, George Washington was inaugurated around the corner from Ground Zero.  He led the fight to see that Jews receive equal rights.

Pastor Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center after meeting with Florida Imam Muhammad Musri has agreed not to burn 200 copies of the Quran holy books, but take a flight with Musri to New York and talk with Imam Feisel Abdul Rauf on Saturday about relocating the Mosque project.  Meanwhile Musri has not spoken to Iman Rauf personally, but to his staff who stated Rauf “was open” to making a decision on a new location.

There seems to be two different sides to this story.  Purportedly Defense Secretary Robert Gates or the White House telephoned Pastor Jones to reconsider the book-burning.  Imam Rauf now denies considering relocating the Mosque or bartering and says  we come to build peace and harmony.  Jones claims negotiations were ongoing.

Whether it was Pastor Terry Jones’ estranged daughter, Emma who begged her father or whatever prompted him, Pastor Jones completed his mission.  He is canceling the Quran book burning.

The City of Gainesville, Florida is planning to send Pastor Jones a $180,000 bill for security costs they incurred after the Pastor’s threatening  remarks to burn holy Qurans commemorating on the 9/11 anniversary.

Jones is selling an online book titled “Islam is of the Devil.”  He’s questioning, “Why Islam is not a peaceful religion.”

New Jersey Mayor Slams Slumlord Imam

Ground Zero Mosque Imam Rauf  a slumlord of Sage Development is being sued by the Union City, New Jersey Health Department responding to 30 tenant complaints from two apartment buildings for not repairing hazardous conditions at the properties.  On September 23rd Imam Rauf attended a court hearing in which the judge gave him until October 9th to make repairs.

Now we know why Imam Feisel Adul Rauf has refused to discuss the finances of the proposed Mosque.  The feds have recently shed some light as to the key money-man, a group they shutdown who supported Hamas.

Suppose the Ground Zero Mosque does not relocate and the Islamic center becomes a place where Muslims, Jews, Christians and other religions practice their faith or the Mosque moves further away.  Did we have the right to say go pray somewhere else today?

The developers proposed $100 million dollar Mosque will house a sports and fitness center, swimming pool, childcare surrounded by a playground, auditorium, restaurant, exhibition and prayer space.  This honeycomb shaped design embraces a peaceful place.  The developers state that the money could be coming from Middle Eastern countries.  Oz Sultan, Mosque center spokesman refused to give any information if the religious organization would accept money from Iran.

Meanwhile some of the 9/11 hijackers that attacked the World Trade Center and Pentagon were from Saudia Arabia.  President Obama takes a stand and is slammed for his controversial White House remarks surrounding the Islamic Center plans.

Bill O’Reilly of “Fox News” booed by Whoppi & Joy on “The View”

Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off “The View” after Bill O’Reilly’s Muslim remark.  Bill said he was commenting on 9/11 Muslim extremists which somehow Whoppi and Behar misconstrued and took it to heart.  The audience heard Whoppi say a “bleeped” curse word.  Barbara Walters thought the girls were rude walking off “The View.”  They made a bad move.  Don’t let this ever happen again on “The View.”  Get smart Bill apologized for his inappropriate “Muslim” remark.

Saudi Arabia’s Prince Against Mosque Project

Prince Alwaleed rejects the Mosque Project.  We should respect the victims of  the 9/11 terror attacks.  His Royal Highness says he is not backing or financing anything.  The Mosque is near a bar and strip club not in a good neighborhood.  It could take decades for the wounds of the twin terror attacks to improve.  You have to respect the dignity of those New Yorkers who have been hit dramatically.

Controversy Continues

The World Trade Center is on hallowed ground and many victim’s bones have not been found.  Some 9/11 family members intend to rally supporting the Mosque and Islamic center in Manhattan while a majority of Americans across the country are against the “Ground Zero” Mosque project.

How many people knew there was a Muslim Prayer Room with peaceful worshiping inside the World Trade Center before and after the 1993 bombing?  No one complained or was outraged.

The Imam and his wife are the subject of death threats.  We must settle this controversy amicably or else it will turn into a worldwide tragedy.

Ground Zero Mosque Group ousts Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf

Ground Zero Mosque Group are naming a new Imam to replace Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf by limiting his role at the Islamic facility to assist with the global community.  The new Imam will lead religious programming.

Backers of the Islamic community center are planning replacing a clothing store near Ground Zero with a building housing an athletic facility, day care center, art galleries, an auditorium suitable for hosting cultural events, a 9/11 memorial and a prayer room for 1,000 people.

Defiant Pastor Jones burns Quran triggering Afghan riots

Pastor Terry Jones provoked rioting and killing in Afghanistan when he decided to burn the holy Quran.  This preacher man who is suppose to stand for love, peace and harmony does not seem to understand or give a damn.  His ultimate plan is to protest on April 22nd outside the largest U.S. mosque in Detroit, Michigan.  President Barack Obama and General David H. Petraeus have officially denounced the act of burning a Quran and the outrageous response of attacking and killing innocent people as an insult to human decency and dignity.

According to a national poll around 69% of Americans say it’s okay for a mosque to be in their community.

On September 20, 2011 controversial Mosque and Islamic Center (Park 51 Project) opens a temporary space to the public near ground zero.

Con Edison Eviction

New York utility company Con Edison is threatening to evict Ground Zero Mosque (Park 51) unless developers come with back rent totaling $1 million.  Park 51 argument is that they owe less than half for back rent to Con Edison.  A court order has been issued preventing utility company from ending lease before November 17th hearing.

Arrest warrants for Pastor Terry Jones and seven others on insulting Muslim religion

Prosecutors in Egypt are notifying Interpol and U.S. authorities that they have ordered the arrest of eight people which include Egyptian Coptic Christians, five men and one woman, the infamous Pastor Terry Jones and film director Nassoula Basseley Nakoula who they believe allegedly helped to make, distribute and promote 14-minute movie “Innocence of Muslims.”  Charges carry death penalty.

Donor Suing Iman

Lawsuit filed on Monday, February 4, 2013 in Manhattan State Supreme Court by major donor Robert Leslie Deak who seeks $167,000 in damages against Iman Feisal Abdul Rauf former spiritual leader of Islamic community center in addition to defrauding donors to his non-profit organization Cordoba Initiative and American Society for Muslim Advancement of millions of dollars using the money for entertainment, personal real estate, lavish trips and a luxurious sports vehicle.
