Natalee Ann Holloway (True Story of a Family’s Tragedy) Joran van der Sloot
NATALEE ANN HOLLOWAY
CARIBBEAN DREAM TO A MISSING TEEN
The True Story of a Family’s Tragedy
OH WHERE OH WHERE CAN MISS NATALEE BE?
CHAPTER I
This is more than the tragic story of a missing teen and her family who are suffering dearly. It’s the heartache that every mother and father bears when their child goes missing and they start wishing, praying and waiting. When will the agonizing pain end? The child you loved was your best friend. You feel powerless following days and nights of restlessness. Your whole world has been crushed. Now all you seek is justice.
It was supposed to be a happy occasion with the celebration of a graduation, childhood memories and longing dreams for all those special things. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. One day you’re a pretty dance queen and then suddenly you disappear from the scene somewhere between the devil and the deep blue sea.
A trip to Aruba was planned which enticed teenagers to a faraway island paradise. There were no second thoughts. Airline tickets were bought. Everyone was looking forward to a holiday of partying and rollicking. They were going to have the time of their lives, but one teenager was in for a big surprise.
Every teen has big dreams, but sometimes life is not what it seems. A first puppy love affair can turn your fantasy into reality. It’s a time of do or dare.
Teenagers are unaware of the consequences they will bear. Some teens are scared while others get mad, yet few can hardly wait to be had. Unrequited love to the ones who know can be a crushing blow. He loves me, he loves me not, for he will break your heart. Few of us find this out from the start. Like the wings of a lark Natalee Ann Holloway departs.
She disappears somewhere into the night air. Maybe she hopped a ship as a stowaway to another island paradise far from the chores of her everyday life. Who knows how teens think today. Parents pray that their child is okay. A heartache never goes away. You can only hope your loved one will return someday.
The Mountain Brook Class of ‘05 Arrive
Natalee Ann Holloway vanished in the wee hours of May 30, 2005. Now everyone is wondering if she’s “dead or alive.” This loving and caring 18-year-old prudent straight “A” honor student and pretty cheerleader with a fully-paid academic scholarship met her fate while on an exotic four-day Caribbean holiday with 124 classmates.
When the Mountain Brook seniors and other graduates from surrounding schools arrived on May 26th, they couldn’t wait to celebrate a great high school graduation. No one in their wildest imagination could believe that Natalee would get herself into a bad situation. The group checked into the Holiday Inn Sunspree Beach Resort. They only thought of having fun and getting out under the tropical sun. Then everyone took a spin around the island.
Natalee, Miss Queen Bee
Natalee is a shy sweet petite blue-eyed girl who has always been trustworthy taking many other trips out of the country. In the fall of 2005, Natalee was supposed to be attending the University of Alabama. It was her decision to enter the field of pre-medicine with the primary goal to be a pediatrician. Natalee actively participated in student government and many elite honor society clubs. A beautiful girl who had everything in the world, was truly loved by all, but being young, innocent and so naive was her downfall.
Parents’ Worst Nightmare
What happened to Natalee is not rare. Life is not always fair and square. It’s a parents’ worst nightmare. You’ve got to teach your children to be aware whether they’re on vacation or a class trip. That’s when they tend to slip. Children should never roam alone. There should always be a companion or a friend to lend a helping hand especially when a child is in a foreign land. Most teens enjoy partying and drinking. Half the time they are not thinking. There’s always some smartie at a house party. The parents’ role is to patrol and take control. Your child is your heart, body and soul.
